SENSING WORLDS

SENSE ~ EMBODY ~ CREATE
A 4-Week Somatic & Expressive Arts Series - In Person - Vancouver, BC

Reclaiming the creative-body as the site of wisdom.

Summer dates coming out soon!

In a culture that demands we move at the speed of thought, there is a profound power in returning to the time of the body. This is not a traditional dance nor art class. It is a dedicated container to practice the art of embodied flow and creative connection: finding the deep ease required to remain, restore, and act from a place of intimate vitality rather than intellectual, emotional, or physical effort.

This practice is for:
  • Those seeking to ground their creative practice in the embodied self and move through blocks by returning to the sensorial body.
  •  Anyone craving a poetic, ritual space to regulate their nervous system, reconnect with and expand their embodied presence.
  •  Those who believe in the power of shared movement and collective creative exploration.
  • No previous background in art or performance is required; only a curiosity to feel.

What to Expect: The Three Moments of Sensing Worlds
Each session we open and close the circle, moving into and through three main moments...
  • Arriving: We soften. We yield. We use somatic movement to turn down the volume of the mind and sync to the time of the body.
  • Creating: Innocent curiosity becomes our ally. Through thematic prompts, ritual, mark-making, and gesture, we follow the golden thread of intuition. We let what wants to be emerge, come to life.
  • Belonging: We move from aloneness to togetherness. Through witnessing and shared presence, we flow from inner to outer. We explore belonging that isn't just about "fitting in".

In Their Own Words

Alexandria

Sensing Worlds was an incredibly transformative and grounding experience. It came at a time in my life that was shaken up with uncertainty and difficulty and our time together each week was something I looked forward to. Guadalupe is a skilled and compassionate instructor that encouraged exploration and curiosity in our own creative processes. Sensing Worlds is a moment in time that I credit to helping me become more connected, curious and confident in my own creativity and feeling a greater sense of belonging in the world around me.

Susanna

I came with no expectations and a sense of curiosity, and I left with a profound sense of wonder, a full heart, and a deeper trust in my own intuition. Guadalupe is a wonderful facilitator who creates an inviting space, that feels both safe and expansive, a gentle container for the inner universe, inviting exploration that is both grounding and limitless. Each session was carefully curated, thoughtfully woven together, and followed by reflection points or simple practices that helped me to carry my insights forward, and accompany me on my journey from one week to the next. I highly recommend this soul deepening process!

Mariana

This workshop has been a beautiful experience. Through movement, writing, drawing and connecting to others in an intimate and safe space I was able to dive into new and old parts of myself, in a process of discoveries and healing. The open ended delicate guidance allowed me to be exactly where I needed to be in each moment of the workshop.
If I had to choose 3 words to describe this opportunity they would be: truth, subtleness, profound.
