Shared Bodies

Shared Bodies is a two–channel video that looks at the invaluable intimacy and sharing of knowledge among a group of women. The video work depicts part of a process wherein members of Martinez’ fluid “collective-body” CUERPO participate in significant processes of care, introspection, and sensorial knowing. Sharing a soft touch, moving and writing together, developing healing-scores, embodying them; each body is a memory, a narrative, converging desires. All are testimonials and caring devices to honor the past, embody the present and envision new futures.
