"That inner voice has both gentleness and clarity. So to get to authenticity, you really keep going down to the bone, to the honesty, and the inevitability of something."

Testimonials:

"I found the assignments very useful. In particular the assignment in the LANDSCAPE module. Just to awaken the senses again, expand my assumptions about my body and the bodily states I want to be in, be in awe of the world. I felt more attuned and aware of my surroundings.
I think the embodied meditations/exercises in class were very good. We did them exactly when I felt sluggish or tuned out, which was helpful.
Guadalupe was very good at tailoring the class to everyone's practices. When we did the in-class exercises, the suggestions made were tailored for each person which was excellent."

"I liked the structure of the class. Everything felt the right length, a bit of warm up, lecture, an exercise, sharing. Simple and enough to keep us engaged throughout. I thought the lectures were beautiful!"

"My 4 mentoring sessions offered a generous container to meet me where I was at. For me, this looked like reflecting on next steps of my art career, and Guadalupe offered really useful insight into navigating the funding system, understanding studio visits and revamping my website. All of this information was immediately useful to me at the time, and continues to support my practice now. These sessions were incredibly helpful to me and I would highly recommend working with Guadalupe!"
~ 1:1 Mentoring Session

“It's teachers like Guadalupe that give me a little bit of hope in academia. She somehow built a community in which all artists felt comfortable to take risks and chances with their art and truly engage with their intersecting identities from many different perspectives…and to think of myself and my artistic practice more seriously. I absolutely feel like I have changed a great deal after this class and that I have this visual language at my disposition now and I really want to explore the ways in which I can use performance art to explore my self and my relation to others…”
