Sensorial Aesthetics & Expansive Pedagogies
My artistic inquiry invites the consideration that aesthetics are not just about art and form; they move through everything.
My research in Sensorial Aesthetics is a language that foregrounds our primary connection to the body, the senses, movement, and sensation. It serves as a living bridge between inner and outer worlds, physical and poetic. It is a principle rooted in beauty; not as superficial perfection, but as a path to one's depth, even when raw, tender, or unbearable. Sensorial Aesthetics is a whole-body experience connecting singular and collective consciousness: an embodied, collective practice and methodology for transformation and world-making.
Through Expansive Pedagogies, I extend this research into academic, institutional, and gallery settings. I design and facilitate experiential learning containers, university seminars, curatorial projects, and institutional workshops that challenge conventional, head-centric education. By introducing somatic inquiry, collective ritual, and embodied interdisciplinary approaches into the classroom/studio and exhibition space, we create environments where learning becomes a living, relational, multidimensional process.
