Down on the Corner is a project in collaboration with my friend and artist Kate Moss running from October 2013 to April 2014. It comprises six public interventions by Vancouver-based artists and a publication to be launched in the fall of 2014.
Down on the Corner looks at the pre-existing social and public space as a larger conversation within which artwork can circulate.
Located in the window space of Gene coffee shop, on the corner of Main St and Kingsway in Vancouver. Down on the Corner invites artists to utilize the space considering its physicality and location, creating work or interventions that integrate the coffee shop’s environment and architecture.
