We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.
— T. S. Eliot
FIRST WALK: The rules of the landscape is a research project developed during a residency at the Strathcona Art Gallery in May and June 2011. This work entailed three different actions as ways of approaching a foreign landscape. It explores the relationship between the body and the space, ways of creating knowledge on an-other, and questions around the power dynamics between the subject and object positions (which is which, who is who?)
Special thanks to the STAG
