Crying/Llorando is one piece from a bigger series of performances in collaboration with artist Natalie Doonan.
Through sound and vocals the artists intend to reflect upon language, culture and desire using deconstruction as the main strategy to create meaning in their pieces.
Crying/Llorando is the first collaboration performed in april 2010. Concieved by Natalie Doonan the performance is based in the spanish version of Roy Orbison's song featured in David Linch's film Mulholland Drive. Using a cannon framed overlap of the music, the artists reinterpret the songs addressing concepts related to cultural identity, gender and relationship.
